At Small Stuff you’ll find a curated selection of beautifully made, ethically produced toys, books and clothing for littles ones aged 0–7. Every piece we sell has been carefully hand-sourced and is shared with you in a space where curious minds and sticky fingers are always welcome. From everything you see in the shop and online, to the way the business is run behind-the-scenes, they are committed to working in a way that is ethical and kind to the planet.

Noticing a gap in the market for a sustainable business, specifically within children’s goods, Hellen started thinking about how she could make her dream become a reality. This is when she visited the Business & IP Centre in Sheffield Central Central Library.

“The support I have received from BIPC South Yorkshire has been invaluable throughout the years. The access to systems and research via their computers and programmes was paramount during the start-up phase of Small Stuff. In recent years the one-to-one support and IP training has enabled Small Stuff to be successfully trade marked.”

  • Continue to grow and expand Small Stuff, both online and in real life by taking on more specialised staff to share the load.
  • Collaborate with the local community, support and engage with other local businesses, shoppers and residents to get Crookes high street on the map!
  • Travel and promote the business nationally, but going back to Small Stuff’s roots and utilising pop-up spaces and empty units around the country to promote the brand and our sustainability ethos.
